FOR MISSION TEAMS

Lord send out workers into the harvest fields of Vermont.

Matthew 28:19

Vermont is among the least churched states in America - there are less evangelical Christians here than in Egypt.  In spite of this, we have seen a huge movement of the Holy Spirit here.  In 2016, we baptized 30 people and became the 6th highest baptizing Southern Baptist Church in New England.  This is a beautiful land, full of amazing things, but little appreciation for what God has created.  If you would like to be part of the movement that is taking Vermont back to the Lord, you need to consider coming here for a mission trip.

The WORKERS ARE FEW

Matthew 9:35-38New International Version (NIV)

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

"Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God."

- William Carey

"We talk of the second coming, half the world has never heard of the first."

- Oswald J. Smith

"Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn't."

- John Piper

"Today five out of six non-Christians in our world have no hope unless missionaries come to them and plant the church among them."

- David Bryant

"The mark of a great church is not its seating capacity, but its sending capacity."

- Mike Stachura

"Tell the students to give up their small ambitions and come eastward to preach the gospel of Christ."

- Francis Xavier
Mission teams can often be housed at the church or mission house.  Sleeping, bathroom and kitchen facilities are available free for your use. Team size is best around a dozen people although larger and smaller teams are also welcome. Teams activities vary according to year and season but have included VBS, block parties, soup kitchen, food pantry, clothing closet, light construction, walker walking, evangelism, music, and outreach.  Teams often come Monday thru Friday but are encouraged to stay for Sunday service if they can. Mission teams often serve for 4 days and have 1 day of guided cultural tour of Vermont. Additionally, group exercises are available for groups who want to understand more about the population we serve.
