In 1981, over 97% of Islanders identified as Christian. By 2021, that number dropped to 67%—even as the population grew through immigration and expansion.
The need for intentional, Gospel-centered ministry has never been greater.

About Our Family & Why PEI
We’re the Fortier family—a crew of six (plus one lovable dog), called to serve Jesus wherever He leads. Over the past decade, God has been growing in us a love for discipleship, pastoral ministry, and Gospel-centered community. Through local church work, food shelf outreach, teaching, preaching, and relational ministry, our hearts have been steadily shaped by one prayer:
“Lord, send us where we’re needed most.”
That prayer led us to Prince Edward Island.
We first visited PEI as a family and fell in love with its beauty and its people—but more than that, we sensed something deeper. A need. A stirring. A door that God was slowly opening.
Over time, through prayer, fasting, and confirmation from others, it became clear: God was calling us to plant roots on the Island—not just to visit, but to serve.
Now, we’re answering that call by partnering with Clyde River Baptist Church, a faithful congregation stepping into a new season of hope and growth. We’re not coming with grand plans—we’re coming to listen, to shepherd, to serve, and to help equip the saints for the work of ministry.
We believe PEI is ready for revival—not hype, but real Kingdom-rooted transformation. And we believe God is already at work in communities all over the Island, calling hearts back to Him. We just want to be part of what He’s doing.
